Meryl Streep hosts NYC screening; declares India's Daughter Oscar-worthy
Before jetting off for a performance in London, Meryl Streep hosted a sold-out screening of India's Daughter at NYIT. In her introductory remarks, Meryl Streep declared the film Oscar-worthy. Post-screening, Katie Couric led the fascinating Q&A - and Gloria Steinem led the standing ovation. Other luminaries in attendance included Robin Morgan, Kathleen Glynn (Bowling for Columbine), Alysia Reiner (Orange is the New Black), and Charles Radcliffe (Chief of the Global Issues Section, U.N. Human Rights Office).
