Step and Repeat at NYIT

On the eve of its NYC theatrical release, the India's Daughter team celebrated with a step and repeat (and sold-out screening) at NYIT. Present were BAFTA-winning Director Leslee Udwin (along with her family), editor Anuradha Singh (Slumdog Millionaire), and Producers Riddhi Jha, Peggy Cafferty and Kathleen Glynn (Bowling for Columbine). Meryl Streep popped in to introduce the film - deeming it Oscar-worthy; Katie Couric led the fascinating Q&A - and Gloria Steinem led the standing ovation. Other luminaries in attendance included Robin Morgan, Alysia Reiner (Orange is the New Black), and Charles Radcliffe (Chief of the Global Issues Section, U.N. Human Rights Office).
